Revision to CIG ByLaws, 2011
-
With the renewal of CIG, the Executive Committee has undertaken a review of the bylaws of CIG to be sure that they are up-to-date and reflect the current needs and practices of CIG.
The EC proposes several revisions to the bylaws. Approval of the revisions requires a vote of the Electorate. We have posted two versions of the bylaws. The first is the existing bylaws as approved by the electorate in 2006. The second contains the proposed changes, with comments in the margin indicating the reason for the change. Proposed additions are in blue font, and proposed deletions are in red and are crossed out.
There will be a period of discussion for 3 weeks, followed by a window for voting on the revisions.
You may contact your member representative (if your institution is a member of CIG), by viewing the institutional membership webpage.

Discussion window: through Dec. 9
Voting window: Through January 3
