System Administrator/Programmer

CIG has a position opening for a System Administrator/Programmer at our headquarters, University of California, Davis.

The position will be contract, renewable annually for the remaining three years of the project.

Job summary is as follows: Under direction provide technical programming and support to Computational Infrastructure for Geodynamics (CIG). Work with CIG researchers to setup and maintain websites and basic computing infrastructure to support scientific research and development.

Provide support for researchers to share result data from simulations/analysis and collaborate with others. Develop tools for testing, benchmarking, validating and verifying scientific application codes. Help researchers test and release new versions of scientific codes.
