CDM 2012 Workshop

Crustal Deformation Modeling 2010 workshop, to be held in Golden, CO (June 18-22, 2012), on computational models addressing the seismic cycle across single and multiple events. The workshop blends science talks on case studies from particular faulting environments and on key rheological behavior with discussions of current obstacles to crustal deformation modeling.

CDM Tutorial 2011

This virtual workshop focuses on providing training in the use of the CIG PyLith software for quasi-static and dynamic modeling of crustal deformation, with an emphasis on interseismic, coseismic, and postseismic deformation. The training will also include instruction in CUBIT for creating finite-element meshes as input for PyLith and visualizing PyLith output using Paraview.

Community Finite Element Models for Fault Systems and Tectonic Modeling workshop, to be held in Golden, CO (June 25-29, 2007), co-sponsored by SCEC, CIG and NASA, focused on the science associated with simulating pre- and post-seismic crustal deformation and training researchers in the use and customization of PyLith and GeoFest, a JPL code for crustal deformation.
