SPECFEM3D
SPECFEM3D (formerly SPECFEM3D_BASIN) simulates seismic wave propagation in sedimentary basins.
The mesh generator is specifically written for the
simulation of wave propagation in southern California but can be
modified for use in other geographical areas. The solver is completely
general and can be used to simulate seismic wave propagation on regional
and local scales.
The latest version adds the Moho boundary kernel computation option for kernel simulations and allows kernel computations with attenation on. Another option offered is the possibility of replacing Hauksson's background model by Lin's most recent southern California tomographic model.
